Pickup Truck Delivery Mission

In May/June 2026, Daniel and Lukas will be purchasing a used pickup truck and driving it directly to Ukraine from the United Kingdom for use by Daniel and other volunteers in civilian medical evacuation and humanitarian aid work. Full disclosure: this is completely voluntary and we are not being paid for anything. For more information about where funds will go, a budget breakdown can be found below.

We are coordinating with Drive 2 Save Lives, an established nonprofit in the UK supporting medical and humanitarian response efforts in Ukraine. The goal of this campaign is to fund the purchase of a pickup truck, likely a Mitsubishi L200 or Toyota Hilux type vehicle as these are abundant in the UK.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

4x4 Pickups are needed in Ukraine to move people and supplies quickly on unimproved roads. They are high-turnover, high-risk assets.

Vehicles are frequently damaged, destroyed, or worn down due to:

• rough terrain

• long evacuation distances

• ongoing Russian attacks

• mechanical strain

 This campaign is not about overhead. It is about purchasing a working pickup as quickly and responsibly as possible.

THE PLAN:

1. Purchase a reliable pickup.

2. Perform inspection and any needed services.

3. Add any additional medical and humanitarian aid along the way to the truck for delivery to Ukraine.

4. Drive the vehicle overland into Ukraine.

5. Utilize the vehicle in Ukraine to support various NGOs (Brave to Rebuild, Dobrobat, Aequitas)

BUDGET BREAKDOWN:

• Used pickups in the UK Europe can be purchased for $4000-$5000.

• Basic repairs, service, and preparation costs for the truck are estimated to be from $500-$1000.

In this campaign, we are not asking for help with flights, fuel costs, accommodation costs, or any other costs associated with our mission. This fundraiser is for the pickup alone.

If funds raised exceed the vehicle cost, remaining funds will be used for:

• Additional medical and humanitarian supplies

• Direct donation to Drive 2 Save Lives

TRANSPARENCY COMMITMENT:

Donors will receive, where OPSEC allows:

• Photos of the vehicle at purchase

• Confirmation of arrival in Ukraine

• Deployment updates where security allows

We understand that trust matters, and we plan to document everything we can that does not compromise our safety.

ABOUT US:

Lukas and I met on a previous drive in a convoy of pickups to Ukraine in December 2025. We both believe deeply in supporting Ukraine get through this difficult time and believe this is one of the best ways we can both do that. I will be spending more time volunteering in Ukraine working with many of the same NGOs I supported for 2 months in the Summer of 2025. I heard from so many people on the ground there of the need for utility vehicles and for people to do this kind of work. I have seen personally the devastation on the ground in Kyiv, but also the hope and kindness of the Ukrainian people and their determination to continue in the face of evil, death, and destruction. After observing this for myself in country I knew I had to continue to invest where I could and help them make it through to see a safe and free Ukraine.
